Sunset Mountain Bed and Breakfast is a private B&B near Charlottesville Virginia. It is a peaceful and quiet mountain top retreat in the forest of the Southwest Mountainsof the Piedmont. Breakfast is prepared to order.

Sunset Mountain Bed & Breakfast is eight miles north of Charlottesville Virginia. The lodging is next to but separate from our main house here at the "compound." It is in the woods on a mountain top; remote, yet quite convenient to Charlottesville.

The setting is the Southwest Mountain range, a small ridge in Piedmont Virginia which is near Charlottesville and Orange. Choose to stay in one of two houses of contemporary design, and and you will enjoy large windows in every room with views of the woods surrounding you.

You frequently see Whitehall deer and wild turkeys at dawn and dusk right from where you sit in front of the fire. There is a large sitting room with a fireplace, and a kitchenette in both houses. Each is filled with books and antiques.

There's a patio and small heated swimming pool just outside. (open June 1st - Oct 1st) You get the feeling you are miles from civilization, yet you are fifteen minutes from Charlottesville, UVa, and the airport (CHO).
